Today is 16 Oct 22. Time to review the purpose of this Blog - again! It is 2 years since the last review. 🤕 2022 was shaping up well and I was on track for a decent middle distance Duathlon race. Then COVID hit me! I tried to salvage the race season but never felt strong or healthy. Looking to 2023 now and focussing on being healthy and some sprint Duathlon racing mixed with some bike TT fun on the Canyon CF

"You can avoid overtraining by undertraining, but then you don't win medals"

Oooh, controversial statement to stimulate debate or a fact of your training programme? I work to the "Better to be 5% undertrained than 2% overtrained" mantra, but then I don't win any medals. I think the point is that rest MUST be planned into your programme and you should learn to enjoy these programmed rest periods.

Or I could just nag you ...

...nag me.....please!

I can do nagging as well! After I sent you that pdf as well ... recovery and adaptation don't happen by themselves they need to be planned for and executed with just as much fervour as the training programme!

I consider myself nagged! Thank you!
