Today is 16 Oct 22. Time to review the purpose of this Blog - again! It is 2 years since the last review. 🤕 2022 was shaping up well and I was on track for a decent middle distance Duathlon race. Then COVID hit me! I tried to salvage the race season but never felt strong or healthy. Looking to 2023 now and focussing on being healthy and some sprint Duathlon racing mixed with some bike TT fun on the Canyon CF

New Shoes!

I rested today, which was good as I needed the recovery. However I did check my race bike was functioning ok after a winter being stashed in the garage. I also had to check out my new race bike shoes that I managed to get on ebay - a real bargain! They are quite retro and billed as the first real specific tri bike shoe. Not sure ho true that is but they feel great and very easy to slip in and out of in transition......and they are red white and blue!

Nice shoes Sags and a bargain, mine came with the team kit last year but never got round to using them as my old ones were still in good nick! T-Man is right, and take it from a coach; you dont get fitter by training hard! you only get fitter by resting! Best of luck for Almere, its lovely and flat you will fly!
Keep an eye on him T-Man and make sure he understands TAPER!!!

I am resting - honest! Long run reduced and only one session tomorrow at low intensity. Happy with the nagging though as it keeps me focussed!

Roy you need to start nagging Bev too. You are right, performance is all about rest and recovery and ideally minimal stress. Less than two weeks to go, you will not improve now but you can get slower if you don't TAPER!
